Enjoyable, Walkable, Scenic, Outstanding, Strategic, Serene, Challenging, Classic… all words used by those who have played our golf course, to describe our Seth Raynor designed Minnesota Masterpiece.

Minnesota Valley greens will amaze you with their variety, switching between audacious and subtle, large and small, several are huge, most include bold contours within, a few are flat with undetectable breaks for even seasoned members. With the immense amount of interesting hole locations available, putting is endlessly enjoyable and consistently challenging at the Valley.

In classic Raynor style, the foundation of our course is a compelling collection of par 3’s named; Redan, Eden, Biarritz, Short. The revered Raynor routing builds on this foundation with a diversity of strategic Par 4 designs named; Alps, Narrows, Valley, Knoll, Plateau, Prize Dogleg, Leven, and Cape.

Playing the Valley is a stirring journey back to the Golden Age, to the Father of American Golf Architecture, Raynor’s mentor C.B. Macdonald. Even further back  to the Old Course in Saint Andrews, where Macdonald learned the game, played with Old Tom Morris, and was inspired to bring Scotland’s best links strategies and features to golf in America.

Our historic 18 hole course maintains its original routing from 1924 and plays to a par of 73. The scenic setting in Bloomington comprises 147 acres of gently rolling terrain above the great Minnesota River Valley. MVCC recently completed a  course renovation upgrading infrastructure while magnifying Raynor’s fun features, interesting greens, and iconic hole designs.

We also magnified our well established and widely recognized welcoming culture, by building five tee boxes on every hole so families and players of all skill levels can enjoy the Valley together. Our 19th hole has a spectacular new Pub on the lower level, with a spacious patio providing an amazing view. While upstairs is a completely renovated Raynor Grill and wonderful new Pro Shop.
